What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?

What is Clinical Hypnotherapy?
Clinical Hypnotherapy is the use of Hypnosis by a trained therapist to create and supply a suitable environment and instruction, allowing a motivated client the focus of mind and body at which point, by way of agreed suggestion (or therapy) behaviours or conditions can be modified. It's not about 'mind control' as strong willed people are excellent candidates for hypnosis. While in the hypnotic state you are aware and in control in a state where the subconscious mind becomes more receptive to positive suggestions that are more easily accepted and acted upon. You are in a state of consent, i.e. No one can be hypnotised against their will. You are part of a co-operative effort. (Client and Clinical Hypnotherapist need to work as a team for the hypnotherapy session to be successful)(Please note: - Hypnotherapy is not an alternative to seeking medical advice, in fact you may be asked to visit your Doctor first to confirm that a condition has no organic base. Hypnotherapy can be very successful in rehabilitation and it compliments the treatments of other health professionals).

Why choose Hypnotherapy?
As I say at the top of this page "letting you be the REAL you", Hypnotherapy is about training the mind! The subconscious part of the mind contains our fundamental thoughts, beliefs and convictions, which our conscious behaviors stem from. Our subconscious mind is at work 24 / 7 without our being aware supplying our self-limiting or self-defeating beliefs as well as our true aspirations, intuition and mental drive. Our moments of insight, wisdom and creativity all come from within the subconscious mind. Hypnotherapy will assist you in getting rid of these unwanted thoughts, behaviors and actions (habits).

What does it feel like to be in Hypnosis?
In a word "WONDERFUL"!! Hypnosis feels like a deeply relaxed state. During hypnosis you hear the Hypnotherapist clearly and you are able to talk with the Hypnotherapist. While feeling incredibly relaxed both mentally and physically you are actually mentally very alert and still in control.
